Facts That Make You Realize Just How Much You Need Byte Wipes

Our phones are one of the dirtiest objects we own, that’s not hard to believe, but it’s not until you see the statistics that you realize just how dirty they truly are.

  1. “Your phone is a breeding ground for a wide variety of different organisms; one scientific study discovered roughly 7,000 types of bacteria in 51 smartphone samples.”

This means that each time you touch your phone the possibility of contaminating your hands with harmful bacteria is very likely. We then go on to touch our keys, steering wheel, shopping carts, etc., which will spread contaminants to more of our belongings and to others.

  1. “Your mobile phone is, surpassing the average toilet seat by about 10x. It’s also dirtier than the bottom of your shoes or the inside of your dog’s food dish. Studies reveal time and again that our phones are carrying disease-causing microbes and even fecal matter.”

Think about all the times that you’ve taken your phone to the bathroom with you set it down in your stall or on a counter. You are exposing your phone to countless bacteria and fecal matter microbes. A wipe down after the restroom is a quick and easy way to kill germs and not spread gross bacteria.

  1. “Traditional grocery store shopping carts have 361 times more bacteria than a bathroom doorknob.”

Never forget the versatility of Byte Wipes either. So many public utilities we use every day could benefit from a quick wipe down before use. For example, store pin pads, gas station transactions, doorknobs, gym equipment, shopping carts and so many more.

  1. “The average person checks their mobile phone approximately once every 12 minutes or 80 times per day.”

Whether we admit it or not, our phones play a very substantial role in our lives. With all that being said, the world would be a much better place if everyone made wiping down their phones a normal part of everyday routines. Don’t spread it, wipe it!
